On May 29, Euclides Gonçalves, executive director and senior researcher at Kaleidoscopio, presented a paper at the University of Cape Town’s Institute for Humanities in Africa (HUMA) seminar series. The paper entitled “Voters’ cards: state, citizenship and political parties in rural Mozambique” is a result of an ongoing research project based at the Institute for Social and Economic Studies (IESE) and discussed the ways in which voter’s cards provide insights for the understanding of the increasing low voters’ turnout in Mozambican past general elections.
